Welcome to the Forest-based Sector Database for R&D Projects in Europe

This database allows you to search for information about research projects adressing the European forest-based sector. As a researcher you can add projects to the database and update them. The database shall first of all service the stakeholders of the Forest-based Sector Technology Platform ( FTP ) but is also used for establishing complementory national databases.

A main objective of the database is to follow how the strategic research agendas at European and national levels progress and to provide a basis for proper actions. This can for example mean to stimulate funding where gaps exist. To serve this purpose, it is necessary that as many relevant projects as possible are included. This means efforts from the researchers but exposure in the database also gives advantages. The software has been built-up so that it shall normally take less than 15 minutes to add a project.

The projects in the database must meet a set of criteria. The criteria can be found under Background information. By entering a project into the FTP database, certain obligations are accepted by the project owner.
The software can be used to introduce a project into either the FTP database or a national database or both. When you sign in it will automatically become visible if a national database exists for your country.

Searching the database is open to everyone and material can be freely downloaded. No guarantee is given by project owners or database holders as to the correctness of information in the database. Any consequences of the use of information in the database is in all respects the full and sole responsibility of the user.
